About Me

I decided that I wanted to be a writer at an early age. I think it all began with the movie, Romancing the Stone. I wanted to be Joan Wilder. But, more than that, I wanted to write about all of the adventures that she was going to have. I must admit those first few drafts were pretty rough. But the more I wrote, the more I learned. All through school, I was writing. Each class I went to, someone was waiting for a new chapter.

As I got older, I did what everyone does. I got a 9 to 5 job to pay the bills. But writing was still my passion. A few close friends at the office began reading my books, and soon I had other co-workers coming up to ask for chapters. On the advice of Roxanne St. Claire, I joined Romance Writers of America. Getting involved in the national organization and my local chapter has been invaluable. It has not only taught me a lot about my writing but it gave me a group of friends who truly understand.

I am originally from Indiana. Corn country, as I like to call it. At the age of fourteen, we moved to Orlando, Florida. As much as I like the warm weather, I miss Indiana. It will always be home. But moving to Florida gave me some wonderful friends, and of course, the man I married. He is the best husband in the world. He is always supportive and never fails to have a shoulder that I can lean on. He understands that my writing is a passion, and always cheers me on. Together, we live with our son and two cats.

When I’m not writing, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, playing video games and watching movies. I love to travel. My husband and I were blessed to be able to take a cruise through the Mediterranean for our honeymoon. I have been to Italy, Greece, Spain, Sicily, France, Bahamas, Virgin Islands, Jamaica, Curacao, Martinique, and various states in the United States. I would love to go to Egypt, Ireland, Scotland and England.

I love to meet readers and other writers, so feel free to drop me a line.

  Some of my Favorite Authors

Heather Graham
You simply have to read Slow Burn! It is hotter than hot! Heather Graham is an incredible talent who weaves characters into your heart forever. Never Sleep with Strangers was simply delicious, too!

Nora Roberts
The Three Sisters Island Trilogy is my favorite. Nora
Roberts is truly gifted with everything she writes.

Linda Howard
After the Night is simply the best. It goes down in my list of books I have read over and over. Nobody beats Gray Rouillard.

Linda Lael Miller
Daniel's Bride is a truly great western. Linda Lael Miller has perfected the western romance novel.

Sandra Brown
There isn't much you can say about Sandra Brown that hasn't already been said. She is a genius, and she proves it over and over again.

Shelley Bradley/Shayla Black
Shelley Bradley's books are packed with action, suspense and passion. Her books are hotter than hot, and I am so glad that I found her through Romance Designs. Strip Search is one of the best books I've read in a long time. Mark Sullivan is my new favorite hero. He is so complex and well-written. Take the time to meet him, you won't regret it!

Roxanne St. Claire
You have to meet the Bullet Catcher's! Roxanne's new series based on an elite organization of bodyguards is too good to miss. As her tag line reads..."They watch your back...You watch your heart!"

Stephen King
Of course, my favorite is Misery, for obvious reasons. I love the way Stephen King is able to weave many different characters into a singular theme.
